For one Wednesday, the remote control is a weapon again. AEW brings Blood and Guts to VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville on Wednesday, Nov. 4, and AEW's event page bills it as the match's first trip to the city. The same night, WWE puts NXT on live, head-to-head, per Fightful. Pro wrestling is scripted entertainment, so this is a preview of what's booked, not a prediction to bet on.
Why NXT is on Wednesday
Fightful reports NXT moved because The CW is carrying election coverage on Tuesday, Nov. 3, and that it's the first time since 2021 the two shows have gone head-to-head on a Wednesday.
AEW: two cage matches, both announced
Men's Blood and Guts. As PWInsider printed the lineup on Oct. 24: Will Ospreay, Adam Copeland, the Young Bucks, Darby Allin and Steven Borden against the Don Callis Family's Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, Wardlow, Kevin Knight, Mark Davis and Jake Doyle. Six on six. AEW's Oct. 21 Dynamite recap has the origin: after the Callis Family's big night, Borden laid down the Blood and Guts challenge.
One thing to watch: AEW's Oct. 24 Collision recap says the Callis Family took Copeland out on that show. He's still on PWInsider's lineup, and we have no source saying he's off it.
Women's Blood and Guts. Per F4W, Willow Nightingale, Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron, with the Brawling Birds, face Divine Dominion and the Triangle of Madness.
The printed lineups don't put a title on the line in either match.
NXT: star power instead of a cage
Fightful's Oct. 27 listing has:
- John Cena scheduled to appear
- Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic final: Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno vs. Hank and Tank, with Cody Rhodes presenting the trophy
- Unsanctioned match: Dion Lennox vs. Cruz Montana
The read
AEW is selling a finish: a locked cage where somebody has to quit. WWE is selling moments: two of its biggest names on a developmental show, neither in a match. That's our take, not a report. Cards change between now and Nov. 4, and this page gets updated with sources when they do.
