SmackDown goes to the Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, W.Va., on Friday, Oct. 30, and WWE is billing it as "Danhausen's Very Nice, Very Evil SmackDown," per its preview. It airs at 8 p.m. ET on USA. Pro wrestling is scripted entertainment, so this is a preview of what's booked, not a prediction to bet on.
Everything announced so far
- Undisputed WWE Championship: Sami Zayn (c) vs. Trick Williams (WWE)
- WWE Women's Championship: Chelsea Green (c) vs. Nikki Bella (WWE)
- AAA World Cruiserweight Championship: Rey Fénix (c) vs. Ricky Saints (PWMania, WrestlingNews.co). This one isn't on WWE's own preview page as of Thursday afternoon.
- Host: Danhausen
Zayn vs. Williams
WWE's preview says Zayn barely held on to the title Monday on Raw, beating Je'Von Evans in an impromptu title match, after Roman Reigns suggested Zayn might not make it to Crown Jewel as champion. WrestlingNews.co reports the match was made official on the Oct. 23 SmackDown, where Williams pinned Ricky Saints in a six-man tag, and that commentary said the winner faces Reigns at Crown Jewel on Saturday, Nov. 7, in Riyadh. PWMania notes Williams is the current United States Champion, so he's walking in with gold of his own.
Green vs. Bella
Green has defended the Women's Championship against Nia Jax and Roxanne Perez, per WWE, and the winner Friday goes on to face Women's World Champion Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel.
The read
Two champions defending eight days before a show where both winners already have dance partners booked. That's a lot of title pressure for a Halloween episode hosted by Danhausen, and it means a title change Friday would reshuffle Crown Jewel on the spot. That's our take, not a report. Cards change, and this page gets updated with sources when they do.
