Preview
No. 3 Georgia (6-1) and No. 17 Florida (5-2) meet at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC, and for the first time it's in Atlanta. The AP preview on ESPN says renovations at EverBank Stadium moved the rivalry out of Jacksonville to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, with tickets split 50-50. Georgia is trying to bounce back from a last-second 27-24 loss to Auburn that knocked it off the top spot in the AP poll. Florida is coming off a 27-24 upset at No. 7 Texas and already beat Ole Miss 52-28, per ESPN's game log.
Key factors
Florida runs it, and Georgia has stopped the run. Jadan Baugh has 763 yards and leads the SEC with 13 rushing touchdowns, per the AP, and the Gators average 194.3 rushing yards a game. Georgia allows 91.4, second in the SEC, though Auburn ran for 192 on it last time out. Gunner Stockton (1,570 yards, 16 TD, 4 INT per ESPN) threw two picks and lost a late fumble against Auburn. Florida's quarterback was unsettled when the AP preview ran: Aaron Philo was back at practice after missing Texas with a right shoulder injury, and Tramell Jones Jr. had been splitting first-team reps. Georgia has won the last five in the series and is 8-2 against Florida under Kirby Smart, per the AP. DraftKings via ESPN had UGA -11.5 and a 56.5 total at last check.
